Latisse™ was approved specifically to enhance eyelash length, thickness and darkness. DermaRenew Skin Rejuvenation Clinic of Weston, announced today that it is proud to be one of the first physicians’ offices in central Wisconsin to make Latisse™ available to those wanting longer, thicker, darker eyelashes.
 
Available only through select physician’s offices, Latisse™ is a once-daily prescription treatment applied to the base of the upper eyelashes with a sterile, single-use-per-eye disposable applicator. According to Allergan, Inc., the manufacturer of Latisse™, users can expect to experience longer, fuller and darker eyelashes in as little as eight weeks, with full results in 16 weeks. If use of the product is discontinued, eyelashes will simply return to their previous state over a period of weeks to months, or an average eyelash hair cycle.

According to Dr. Terry Bucan, owner of DermaRenew Skin Rejuvenation and Laser Clinic, the benefits of Latisse™ were discovered years ago when the same active ingredient was  used for glaucoma .  The medication for glaucoma was FDA approved in 2001, so the safety data and effectiveness is well documented.  She said, “Patients who had been treated with this type of solution noted eyelash growth as a side effect, which prompted further investigation and availability as an eyelash growth stimulator. I’m really excited about this product and am confident that Latisse™ will satisfy consumer expectations.”
